LIVE EVENTS
The Collective and DEKA both frequently host events at the showroom in Shoreditch, from dj events to screen printing workshops.
The DEKA roadshow is a recent initiative that takes the product directly to the clients and buyers.
DEKA also recently partnered with Bridgeman Images and Shem, a London-based artist, on a live art project. The unique project was a collaboration of DEKA’s bold, design-forward ethos, and Bridgeman Images’ mission to push art beyond the gallery wall and into everyday life.
In October I was asked to help curate the artwork and event space for an event hosted by MacyNikaPrints and Oddy Knocky Coffee. The event combined art and music. Oddy Knocky focuses on supporting grass root venues and celebrating local artists.
University of Bristol Snowsports Club (UBSC) is one of the UK's largest snowsports societies, with over 1500 members and 150 active competitors. UBSC runs the largest single University ski trip in the UK, taking 2,000 students to the Alps for a week-long ski trip.
Whilst part of University of Bristol Fashion society, I organised, ran and promoted a large number events. From annual Trashion shows, clothes swap events, weekly workshops and panel talks.
We started the Trashion show as a replacement of Bristol Univeristy Univeristy Fashion Show post Covid. Whilst we opened the event space to indepedent sellers, the show itself focused on sustainability and encouraged the designers to make outfits out of trash and to recycle materials and fabric.
